When the website is requested, the web server processes technically required connection data. This may include IP address, date and time, requested address, transferred data volume, referrer, browser/operating-system information and HTTP status. Processing is used to deliver the service securely and reliably, diagnose errors and prevent misuse.
The exact legal basis and retention period depend on the institutional task and the technical operating arrangement and must be confirmed with the responsible operator before publication.
Individual APC pages may be protected by a hashed password or by a one-time code sent by email. For one-time-code access, the submitted email address, the affected page, the type and outcome of the event and the timestamp are logged. IP address and browser identifier are stored only as one-way hashes. One-time codes are stored only as short-lived hashes.
Before email-based access is enabled, the applicable legal basis, information for recipients, retention period and institutional responsibility must be reviewed. The retention period can be adjusted in the APC configuration.
When you contact the group by email, the information you provide is processed to handle the request and possible follow-up questions. Please do not send confidential information or special-category personal data by unencrypted email.
The contact form processes first name, last name, email address, the selected enquiry category and the message, plus optional phone number and institution/affiliation. The information is sent by email to the configured contact office and is not stored as a form entry in the WordPress database. For abuse prevention, only a short-lived one-way pseudonymised rate-limit value derived from the IP address and a timestamp are processed.
For authorised editors, WordPress uses technically necessary session and security tokens. User accounts, logs and content are processed only for operation and editorial management. This plugin does not create accounts for public visitors.
When Google sign-in is selected, the browser is redirected to Google. The confirmed Google account identifier (sub), email address, verification status and, where provided, name and Google Workspace domain are processed. These data are used only to match and sign in an authorised WordPress account. The plugin requests only openid, email and profile and stores neither access nor refresh tokens.
Where the statutory conditions are met, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
