Scientific profile

Scientific profile

The group uses innovative experimental approaches to quantify atmospheric composition and to study exchange, transport and chemistry of reactive trace constituents. It collaborates nationally and internationally with research institutions and technology partners.

The APC group is embedded in the University of Innsbruck research environment and contributes to the Climate–Cryosphere and Atmosphere research centre, the Mountain Climate and Environment doctoral school and collaborative programmes on mountain forests and atmospheric observation.

Urban–Alpine observatory

An urban–Alpine observatory as a shared reference point.

The IAO connects urban trace-gas exchange, boundary-layer processes, remote sensing and instrumental methods at one shared site.
